How did you get into radio? I used to listen to Marv Albert do play-by-play of the New York Knicks and New York Rangers on WNBC radio, and was amazed that I could "see" the game through his words.
Who were or are your
heroes and inspirations?
As a kid, my idol was Mickey
Mantle. Now, I'm impressed by people who are able to remain focused on
enjoying life, despite adversity.
What story have you covered that had the most lasting impact? I was moved by the Million Man March. It had drama, controversy and fascinating personal stories.
If you could have changed the course of history what would you change? My junior high school prom. During the last song I asked someone OTHER than my date to dance. Don't worry, I was turned down.
