WASHINGTON - Police in the District arrested a teenage boy Monday in connection with at least 12 armed robberies in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Northwest.
The robberies occurred last week near the brand new Target store and the Columbia Heights Metro station.
In several cases, the 16-year-old suspect placed a gun against the victim's heads while demanding money, credit cards and cell phones, police say.
None of the victims was hurt.
The teenager faces multiple counts of armed robbery. The juvenile will be charged as an adult.
