More Charges Against Man in Strip-Club Fire

February 14, 2008 - 11:51am

WASHINGTON - The man accused of setting a fire at the Good Guys strip club in Georgetown has been indicted on 14 counts in D.C. Superior Court.

Vasile Graure, 37, is charged with assault with intent to kill eight people inside the Wisconsin Avenue club on Nov. 4.

The 26-year-old manager of the club has undergone several surgeries after he suffered second- and third-degree burns all over his body.

Authorities say Graure was upset because he'd been kicked out of the club for trying to take cell phone pictures of the dancers.

Prosecutors say Graure then came back to the club with gasoline and a lighter and set what could have been a fatal fire.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Graure Nov. 6 at the Days Inn in Alexandria.
