Confidential Sources
GAO wants to protect its sources, so the congressional watchdog agency is seeking permission to be able to keep some identities secret. Since 9/11, more feds and contractors have been reluctant to talk, unless assured they won't become whistleblowers.

Network Security
You know you have a lot of important - even critical - information that resides on your networks. But many organizations don't have proper policies to ensure that information doesn't leak out of its networks. Get important information about plugging those leaks. It's in the first part of FCW's special report on IT security. You'll find it online. www.fcw.com

DHS Cybersecurity Many experts believe that the nation is vulnerable to a cyber-Pearl Harbor -- a catastrophic attack on the computers that run just about everything from air traffic to traffic signals. DHS has taken a step to address that issue naming the agency's first assistant secretary for cybersecurity and telecommunications.
