Second Man Charged in Deadly Motorcycle Stunts

March 31, 2005 - 6:48am
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - A second person has been charged in the motorcycle stunts that ended in the death of a Walkersville man last month.

Authorities in Frederick County have brought charges against a man who was riding alongside 21-year-old Shaun Matlock seconds before Matlock's fatal accident September 12th on Route 340.

Benjamin Meacham faces charges of negligent driving and reckless driving. His production company, Holding It Big Entertainment, was filming Matlock as he rode his motorcycle wearing nothing but a T-shirt, a helmet and sneakers.

Matlock made a wrong move while doing a wheelie and ran into a tow-truck parked on the side of the road.

Last month, 21-year-old Brandon Edwards of Ijamsville was charged with indecent exposure, reckless driving, negligent driving and other traffic counts. Authorities say Edwards was also riding without pants while performing stunts with Matlock.
