Kitten Born Without Eyes Missing With Stolen Car

December 20, 2007 - 11:57am
WASHINGTON (AP) - A pair of distraught animal rescuers are looking for a kitten born without eyes that was taken with a stolen car Wednesday.

Heather Ross and her friend work with the Homeward Trails Animal Rescue. They say they were getting ready to take two foster animals to the vet -- a dog, and Wonder, a blind kitten who needs medical attention.

Ross says they were standing outside the car at about 4 p.m. near 10th and S for a few moments. They looked up and the car was gone, with Wonder inside.

Ross says the kitten had been sick and needs medical care. He was inside a gray carrier inside the stolen car. It's a silver Audi with Wisconsin tags 858-GXZ .

They're offering a reward for the kitten's return -- no questions asked.

Anyone who may have seen the car, the carrier or the kitten, or has any information, is asked to contact Ross at 301-807-5451 or e-mail rocketcaninegmail.com.
