Embassy Row is presented by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Germany and the United States are bound by a vital friendship. This friendship rests on a solid basis of shared experiences and common values and interests.

Today, the whole spectrum of global challenges - from climate protection through the international financial architecture to the identification of the human genome - is at the center of German-US cooperation.

The two countries are also important to each other as locations for investment and they enjoy vibrant cultural relations. Every year hundreds of thousands of people travel across the Atlantic - as tourists, participants in exchange programs or as artists, performers, scientists, academics and students.

Germany owes the United States a great deal: Without the United States to serve as guarantor of freedom over the decades of the Cold War and without its active support in 1989/90, Germany would not have been able to see its national unity restored in freedom. And many people from Germany have helped shape the great success story of the United States.
