1,300-pound man rescued from Clinton home

July 9, 2009 - 5:17pm
CLINTON, Md. - Crews rescued a man weighing approximately 1,300 pounds after the man became ill Thursday and needed help leaving his home, Prince George's County Fire and EMS says.

Once Prince George's County Fire and EMS arrived at the man's home in Clinton, they determined the man was too large to fit through the doorway of one of the rooms.

Crews had to cut a larger hole inside one of the rooms to expand the doorway.

The man was carried out of his house on a special cot and taken to a local hospital.
