A Brandywine resident was mowing the lawn in the back yard of his home, on Baden-Westwood Road, when he saw a big black cat walking slowly, about 20 feet away from him and into the woods.
The man says he knows the animal was the size of a mountain lion, because he compared it to the size of his 120-pound Rottweiler.
"I know what he looked like. When I saw the black panther mountain lion, that thing was four times the size," the man tells WTOP.
Prince George's County Animal Control tells WTOP they responded to the incident and examined the wooded area, but did not see the cat, nor any traces of paw prints.
