Free H1NI vaccines being offered in Pr. George's

LARGO, Md. - The health department in Prince George's County is giving the public a number of opportunities to get a free H1N1 Flu vaccine this week.

The following clinics will be open to priority groups in the next few days:

Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009

Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex
8001 Sheriff Rd., Landover, Md.
From 9 a.m. to noon
Walk-in only

Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009

Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex
8001 Sheriff Road, Landover, Md.
From 9 a.m. to noon.
Walk-in only

Carolina Missionary Baptist Church
9901 Allentown Rd,, Ft. Washington, Md.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Walk-in only

St. Paul Moravian Church
8805 Heathermore Blvd., Upper Marlboro, Md.
From noon to 3 p.m.
Walk-in only

As a reminder, the priority groups include:

  • Pregnant Women

  • Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age

  • Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel

  • All people from 6 months through 24 years of age

  • Persons aged 25 through 64 years of age who have health conditions associated with higher risk for medical complications from influenza
