Trains are moving slower and one at a time between the Takoma and Fort Totten Metrorail as the National Transportation Safety Board continues its investigation into the crash that killed nine and injured nearly 80.
Reduced speeds mean that other trains along the line also move slower. Metro says as a result, fewer trains run on the Red Line.
The NTSB spent much of the weekend simulating crash conditions.
On Thursday, Metro says the Takoma station will close at 10 p.m. so investigators can continue their work.
