Md. to delay ICC service roads

September 12, 2008 - 8:36am
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Maryland will delay building three miles of service roads for the Intercounty Connector as a way to save money.

Maryland Transportation Secretary John Porcari says the delay is needed because another part of the project came in $100 million over budget.

State highway administrator Neil Pedersen says the service roads can be delayed until the ICC is built and won't prevent the entire project from finishing on schedule in 2012.

The ICC will connect Interstate 270 and Interstate 95.
