WASHINGTON - Pepco has told WTOP they've found a cut electrical wire where someone illegally dug without notifying the power company, which resulted in several dogs getting shocked while walking near the sidewalks on 14th and N Street in Northwest.
Pepco crews were testing the sidewalk for the third time in the past few days Monday.
After the wire was cut, a concrete patchwork was used to hide the illegal cut.
The wire, which was sending out a low-voltage current, has now been fixed.
