Voter registration deadline today in D.C. and Va.

WASHINGTON—If you are planning to vote in the November election and haven't registered yet time is running out.

Today is the last day to register to vote in Virginia and D.C.

Voters in Virginia need to have their registration forms postmarked by 5 p.m. today. Voters in D.C. need to have their registration forms postmarked by midnight.

If you are a Maryland resident, then you have little more time.

The deadline to register in the state is next Monday, Oct. 14.

Residents who have a new address since the 2004 election, or are voting for the first time should register within their jurisdictions.
